Look Good Feel Better helps transform the look and outlook of 3,000 cancer patients every year in New Zealand, supporting over 34,000 since 1992.
They host workshops that guide women through ways of coping with the physical side effects of cancer treatment, providing advice on skincare and make-up regimes.
Unichem sees this as a perfect partnership because Unichem Pharmacies are found in almost every New Zealand community and every day Unichem teams dispense medicines to people undergoing cancer treatment and provide care and advice to them, and often their families and support networks. Working together, Unichem can give Look Good Feel Better an easier way to connect with patients, and offer professional expertise on issues around health, wellbeing, skincare and beauty.
Look Good Feel Better has a target that nobody should have to travel more than 30 minutes to a workshop and staff from Unichem pharmacies are signing up to join the 500 volunteers who will help realise this target. In the near future Unichem will be working on a number of initiatives including the distribution of Confidence Kits from Look Good Feel Better for those unable to attend the workshops.
